Would it be wrong, and possibly too ecumenical to accept a CD as a gift that features Christmas music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir? Would it be sinful?

Music is music. If we could only hear or read those things that are created by Catholics, we would miss a lot of things that are good. If I gave you a remarkable, 2000 year old Indian arrowhead, you wouldn’t refuse it just because the Indian artificer was a pagan. Now, if I was digging up arrowheads as part of a program to promote paganism, you might not want to pay me for it. But if I gave it to you, you’re not supporting paganism, any more than you’re supporting Mormonism if you accept a CD as a gift.

Anyway, that’s how I see it.

in what way shape or form would this be considered sinful, even by the most scrupulous person?
