Looking for a bridge between Catholics and non-Cath’s and also to help Cath’s expand their prayer base I offer these and wonder if non-caths would see any issue in praying these alongside Catholics?

I discovered this a couple of weeks ago and I like it because what I am saying reinforces what I should be doing.

I find these very appealing to me in my prayer-life
Dave,

there must be a lot of protestants in your circle of friends and family (at&t). Be that as it may.

Your personal reverence and devotion to the Holy Rosary and where it came from are sufficient.

Don’t compromise,…let God’s grace suffice for those who will accept and those who will not. Keep it pure and simple. The Holy Rosary was revealed to us by an apparition of the Blessed Mother to St. Dominic on or about the year 1247.

We have been praying it in this format ever since.

You’ll either be considered a complete kook or completely convincing for your reverence, devotion and conviction.

God love ya and so do I.

Perhaps I didn’t state my question correctly?
I was looking for non-Catholics that could get behind what I posted above.

I don’t consider it a compromise to pray prayers to Jesus or the Trinity that our Eastern Catholic and Orthodox brothers pray. Or the prayers of St Patrick both ofvwhich perestroika the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary by hundreds of years.

DadDave,
I’ve provided a link to a Lutheran Rosary I found a number of years ago. The original link is now broken, but this html link still works. From my perspective, these types of meditative pray are fine, and to the extent we can share prayer with our Catholic siblings is encouraging.

Dave have you considered praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy. It is prayed on a regular rosary. It would be very appropiate to pray with Protestants.

I honestly think it’s perhaps a little strange to mix different traditions like the Jesus prayer and the Rosary to create some new ecumenism friendly prayer. It’s a bit like taking a saw (the Rosary), and replacing all of its teeth (Hail Mary prayers) with drill bits.
