I’m just curious, has anyone been to an ecumenical service or mass headed by a Catholic presider? Who were the denominations represented? Were there any instances of liturgical abuse?

So the services are not like our usual Eucharistic celebration? There is no such thing as an ecumenical Mass.
We’ve held ecumenical services in our parish. Usually those attending are the local Christians (Catholic, Anglican, Baptist, Moravian, United Church of Canada, Pentecostal) and those who consider themselves Christian, even though they don’t have Baptism (Salvation Army).
Since there is no format for ecumenical services it’s difficult to speak of liturgical abuse. Most ecumenical services have consisted of readings from the Bible, hymns, and reflections by some of the various ministers.
No, not in the least. So the services are not like our usual Eucharistic celebration?
Are you thinking of a ecumenical prayer service, like Pope St. John Paul II held in Assisi, or a special Mass for a specific intention where there were ecumenical and interfaith members present?I’m just curious, has anyone been to an ecumenical service or mass headed by a Catholic presider?
