Eden as Parallel Dimension

. We were created for a different world, for heaven. So I find it more consistent that Eden was another world that we were created for, something like heaven.

I think it’s important to note that pre-fall earth and heaven were in sync, that they were (I think) similar but not the same to the “new heaven and new earth” of Rev. 21:1. For, before falling humanity and God were in friendship and at the end of time the unity between earth and heaven will be restored. Eden is very much like the Temple in Jerusalem -and every Christian now who is a Temple of the Holy Spirit - in that it is where heaven and earth intersected and this is a smaller representation of what all creation will be like at the end of time. I wouldn’t want to take the mythological imagery in the historical narrative of Genesis 1-11 too literally to the extent of envisaging an entirely different dimension (though you can, if you want to) because we risk losing some of the nuanced theological points the authors are attempting to convey.
