A question for those usually attending the Extraordinary Form Mass: If you could choose between the EF and an Ordinary Form Mass celebrated similarly to the way the pope does, that is, with no abuses whatsoever, gregorian chant, central altar cross, communion kneeling and on the tongue (let’s suppose this would be for all the communicants), roman canon, and as much or little as you want in latin - what would you prefer?
I understand that some people get tired of the modernist OF Masses celebrated by those that interprets Vatican II as a huge break with the past, and feels that the easiest solution would be just to find a parish that celebrates the EF as it had always been done before. But does the problem really lie so much in the form celebrated as in what way it is celebrated?
