Apologies if this seems like a slightly pretentious question, but does anyone know of any new edition of the '62 missal that doesn’t include a side-by-side translation? Being a Classics graduate, I don’t really need a two-language volume; I would rather have a more streamlined Latin-only one. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want one to take with you to Mass? If so I’m not sure what to tell you. But if you don’t mind a larger volume for study usage, you could just buy a travel sized altar Missal, like this one:

It’s not huge, exactly, but also not as compact as a hand Missal would be. I use one for travel.

Thank you for that very good idea, Father: something like that might indeed suit me (if I save up!). I would be reading the missal mostly at home, to tie up with the breviary. (In fact I’ve only attended I think 3 EF masses in my 18 months as a Catholic, and they aren’t often offered near my house; my interest in the missal derives from my use of the breviary, which I started using a year ago, having found the Liturgy of the Hours rather bland).

P.S. Not that I’m uninterested in the EF Mass in its own right: I just mean I don’t (have the chance to) attend it at all often.
