Lord, I pray for the repose of their souls!

" ELM GROVE – Eight sisters living at the Notre Dame of Elm Grove have died of COVID-19 since Dec. 9, according to a statement from the School Sisters of Notre Dame Central Pacific Province.

The statement also said there are other confirmed cases among the 88 sisters living at the facility at 13105 Watertown Plank Road.

“All CDC guidelines are being followed regarding the care of sisters affected by COVID-19 and to avoid spread of the virus, including wearing masks, social distancing and handwashing,” the statement said.

The statement said they do not plan on releasing any more information about the confirmed cases.

The outbreak comes months after six nuns at Our Lady of Angels Convent in Greenfield, a care home for Catholic sisters, died of the coronavirus in less than a month."

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

May their souls and the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Praying for their souls and for the safety of others in the communities.

I hope they are able to get the vaccine sooner rather than later. I just authorized it for the 90+ year old in the nursing home who I have responsibility for; everyone there is getting it next week.
