Einstein & Afterlife

I tend to find that when some one excels at something but is deficient and many other skills he or she may be called “smart” based only one the strong skill without consideration for the others. I’m not saying that Einstein isn’t smart. In all honesty I have never had a motivation for trying to evaluate him on this. But I think that tendency may in one way or another come into play here.
Einstein was certainly a smart person; indeed the Nobel Prize has never been awarded to unintelligent people (at least in physics). But I think many people over-exaggerate his intelligence for his excellence in physics due to his taking credit for Lorentz’s work–Lorentz created the Lorentz transformation as part of an investigation into E&M symmetries and the constancy of c (which is exactly what Einstein published a decade years later)

When you die the energy of your body dissipates away, or is assimilated by other organisms when you rot. Energy is conserved. Entropy increases by disordering the order of your body. The laws of physics remain unbroken.

I think his seminal papers in 1905 would make him considered a genius in anyone’s eye, regardless of their faith. However, given his numerous anti-religious comments throughout his life, I can see why some might doubt his true genius.
Personally, I do not believe that Einstein was as smart as people make him out to be.
True.

Your source please.

Your source please.
My source is common sense. The heat of your body dissipates into your surroundings. The energy stored in your cells is assumed by bacteria, fungi, worms, etc, as you decay. Thought and consciousness are not energy, they are processes that take energy to perform. Therefore when they stop they don’t “go somewhere,” they just stop because the necessary energy is not being supplied anymore.

Two more things:
  1. Einstein never said that
  2. By that logic animals, and possibly plants and microorganisms must have an afterlife as well
It doesn’t work. Sorry.

Therefore, Einstein stated “There truly has to be an afterlife, considering we are energy that cannot be completely destroyed”
A bomb contains energy in the form of chemical bonds in the explosive material.

On detonation, the energy contained in the explosive is released; no energy is created or destroyed, it is just converted to another form (heat, shockwave and light).

Does it mean that a bomb exists past its detonation?

Einstein is not the Pope of Science.
That is why I love it so.

We have no Pope.

Is this science or opinion?

For all Christians - the Bible does not recognize any one as being atheist. The Bible would refer to such claim as foolish. See Psalm 53:1. So who do you believe, the person who calls himself an atheist or Jehovah who created all things?

On Einstein, he knew there was an intelligent “first cause”, but he could not come to understand that a “good God” could allow bad things to happen to “good people”. Remember he was raised in a Jewish household and knew much of the God of the Bible. Einstein threw in the towel and decided that there was an intelligent “mind” behind creation, but that we could never reach or gain an understanding of such a mind. He viewed people as wind-up toys who did what the toy was designed to do - sad way to see things he now knows the truth.

Worse is to say the “from one celled goo to you via the zoo” as many who deny the God of the Bible. Of course if they actually read it and paid particular attention to the detailed prophesy, then being fools they might become wise according to Jehovah.

Well, it’s science. Besides, I don’t believe life is anymore than the complex inner workings of our body (which it is, unless you believe in a soul). This means that as soon as our vital organs are to stop working, that’s it. How could there be anything more?

It doesn’t say that. It just says atheists are stupid, and that they can’t be good people. It’s a lame argument, anyway, and it’s an example of circular logic. I say to you “How do you know the Bible is true?” and you reply “Because the Bible says that not believing what the Bible says is dumb.” What?!

Well, that first statement is an opinion, so it’s worth nothing in this debate, and my reply to the second statement would be to ask you what this detailed prophecy states?

The fool has said in his cardiac muscle there is no God!

But seriously, people’s vocabularies and concepts tend to include words and concepts that are not included in the bible. I don’t think the lack of the bible’s coverage over our language and concepts impacts the discussion very much. Also not all atheist would agree with the claim that there are no gods.

Hmm… greatest genius known to man; Albert Einstein.

That’s one point of view. A 2005 Royal Society survey ranked Newton above Einstein.

Could be a jealousy issue, since Newton was a Brit and Einstein was a German who defected to America. Personally, I believe that the greatest genius known to man was actually St Albert the Great.

I know the bible is true because it does exactly as it claims; it turns a sinful and lost person into a new creation in Christ as shown by a complete change in one’s life. However, that can be a weak argument as many have had experiences that have changed their life. However only God can predict the future in detail and have it come to pass 100% of the time and 100% accuracy.

I will not do your homework for you, but start with searching the city of Tyre and see what God said and see how it looks today, then see how Nebuchadnezzar and Alexander the Great fulfilled what was prophesied over a 250 plus year period and predicted well before the events took place. No one but God could give such great detail and have it come to pass. Concerning Jesus there are at least 200 plus prophecies in the OT concerning him, which no one person except Jesus could “fit the bill” so to speak that were fulfilled and many which Jesus could not fulfill just by reading the OT. I suggest try reading the Bible with an open mind before you comment as to its veracity - I have and the more I read and understand the more I believe.

As far as annihilation; that is very wishful thinking - you know in your heart of hearts that there is something beyond this life; you know it because God wrote it on your conscience - you just lie to your own conscience because you love your sin. You are not alone in this, many deny their consciences.

May god give you sight and hearing concerning His Son that you might have eternal life with God as opposed to apart from God. he is good and gives life and sustains and is even kind to those who hate Him.

There are no good people compared to God’s Holy, Just and good standards. By human standards the logical end is I’m good compared to such and such a person to which that person says I’m good compared to such and such a person until to reach a standard that leads to the very worse of mankind. In God’s sight, every person is rebellious to God, this is known as sins and we are by our very nature sinners.

Sorry the heart in Scripture speaks of the whole nature of a person. To make it simple in Psalm it speaks of what you might refer to as conscience or the little voice in your head.

There is no such person as an atheist in God’s view. That is a man-made way of subduing a persons conscience of the living god who gives life to all who live, will live and have ever lived.

Are you new to apologetics and this site? Do you realize that your statements in summary are basically you have to have faith?

You do not even attempt to back up any of your claims and expect that we will take them all on face value and you have put plenty of claims into this post.
