Blade and Blood, here!

Not too long ago, I came by a thread that contained this story… unfortunately, I forgot where that thread is but that’s besides the point.

Just a few minutes ago, I was surfing snopes.com (my favorite website that I use to kill time) and I found this in the religious section:

snopes.com/religion/einstein.asp

This urban legend not only provides this story, but also other false occurences that many believers use to discredit non-believers.

All of your thoughts and civilized opinions are greatly appreciated.

Eternally Yours. ❤️

I want to ask you, do you feel vindicated since they discovered Ida?

Umm… what? :ehh:

Well, I’ve no clue where you’re coming from and I don’t think it matters. This thread is centered around your thoughts and opinions, not mine. :nope:

Well I dont see the point in your thread. Some silly story about einstein…whats the point ?

Atheists make up similar stories to trump religion. Oh, and snopes is wrong about the definition of belief. Then again, snopes can’t even figure out whether or not the Pope is hit three times with a hammer to see if he’s dead.

So is it your position that Snopes is wrong and the story is true?

Peace

Tim

Every trump story - as I like to call them - tend to be urban legends. People like to act superior in morals or intelligence, so they’ll use trump stories.

So you don’t have a problem with the Snopes article?

That’s kind of the problem: People tell this story to discredit Atheism-- more importantly, this story is false, among others that are maliciously told to “prove” a point.

What’s the point?

Well, that’s definitely something I’d never hear a Catholic say. :ehh: But, whatever, it’s cool. 🤷 If this thread does not interest you, it won’t hurt my feelings; just don’t respond to it.

To be perfectly honest, I don’t see why it matters whether this was a conversation between Einstein and Neitzche or between a prof at a state college and a B student. The logic is still correct and the point still stands, why does it matter who said it?

Well, true.

The OP posted this thread as a straw man to knock down, i.e. here’s an internet story about Einstein and its false!!!111one!!1

Einstein is said to be one of the most brilliant men who have ever lived; he is also the Father of Science, and for this father of science to have malicious stories told about him–that he was the one who displayed this “logic”–would simply give the story’s message more logical, ethical, and emotional appeal towards non-believers. :yup: That’s why it matters who said it as well as who heard it.
