I don’t go to Scott Hahn to learn about physics, although I’m sure he’s got some opinions.
Should I look to the expert in one field to be an expert in all?
We ought to remember Einstein made mistakes too, nor did his theories were just thought up by him…
Many of the ideas regarding relativity came also from Lorentz, Poincare and Maxwell
Einstein deserves praise for combining such ideas, I reckon, so I am not claiming we ought not to praise his genious, yet he did not come up with it overnigth by himself.
He said much non-sense about quantum mechanics later on…
He seemed to me stuck on the concept of ‘determinism’ and had an hard time acceptin QM.
He did however do some productive and very interesting work related quantum mechanics, but up to his death he never could accept it…
So he was not perfect. He became an idol for science… but that’s just media hype…

It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously.”
That sounds to me like ignorance of what theism implies, thinking that a ‘personal God’ but be some kind of ‘super-human person’.
In spite of this ‘Dawkins-like’ view on theism he was not as dumb as Dawkins.

Your question [about God] is the most difficult in the world. It is not a question I can answer simply with yes or no. I am not an Atheist. I do not know if I can define myself as a Pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. "
I think he was humble and clearly misinformed regarding all the philosophical work around him. He quotes Spinoza but I question if he ever went deep into him at all.
Hence I would not trust Einstein much on Religion or God at all, but I would respect that a brilliant mind like his at least was somewhat conscious of his ignorance in the subject…
