Nothing could be more misdirecting than for people to cast their vote in favor of pro-abortion candidates. Why?
So far, abortion is still legal under the SCOTUS decision of Roe v Wade in 1973. No voting is needed to protect those abortion “rights.”
Were SCOTUS to overturn Roe in the future, that would only turn the legality of abortion back to the states. Again, nothing changes immediately if that happens.
So, abortion has become a big non-issue issue in the mid-term election of 2018.
It’s 3:41 p.m. Eastern time on election day and I expect a blue tide to sweep the country. I’m sure Rep. Pelosi is hungry for that, to return her to the Speaker’s spot in the House of Reps. That puts her next in line to be VP, if D.Trump is ousted. So, that’s worth a tie-breaking vote in the Senate, if needed on any issue.
I hate elections because of the uncertainty of the future.
My pastor said NOTHING about the local, state, and national elections in his last weekend homily – no issues, nothing, nothing in the bulletin.
