Elevating The Eucharist

This probably seems like a silly question but it kind of bothers me when I must sit further back at Mass I no longer get to see Jesus. Our New Pastor holds up the bowl when he says ‘throw Him, with Him and in Him…’ and after the words of consecration when it is said ‘This is Jesus…’ Fr. simply opens his hands across the Alter or points to something on the Alter but at NO time does father just hold up his Eucharist. Is Elevating Eucharist at Mass not needed anymore?

He is supposed to hold up the chalice with the Eucharist above it and say “This is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, happy are those who are called to his supper”

Wow and I get upset when the priest at my parrish doesn’thold it up long enough. I would love to no the proper liturgacal gesture as well if any one knows. There are so many abuses going on in the masses it’s difficult to no whats right and whats not. The lack of reverence in many churches has gotten out of hand as well. My wife and I havew chosen toi drive an extra hour to mass for that reason. I pray for priest, religous and us.
