When do you show reverence at the Elevation? In my parish, it’s at the point of elevation. At another parish I go to in a pinch, it’s after, when the priest bows.

In my parish, it’s afterward, when the priest bows. During the elevation, I tend to get caught up adoring Christ, who is now present in the Eucharist. :yup:

Same here. When the host is elevated I say (Under my breath) “My Lord and My God”… head bowed after. When the cup is elevated I say “My Jesus, mercy”.

Not sure who taught me this practice… but I have done it since my conversion.

When the priest bows??? Unless he is old, and/or has bad knees, he is supposed to genuflect!

Anyway, generally speaking, we are supposed to show reverence at the elevation. As far as I am concerned, I try to be totally focused for the entire Eucharistic prayer, with extra reverence for the consecration.

Yes, I should have clarified, this priest who bows is very overweight and does bow. I was wondering more about the timing and I am sorry if I upset anyone with my wording.

We show reverence at the elevations by kneeling. Is something else called for? Or are you speaking of the sort of parish that attempts to do away with such postures?
