I was reading an article by Patrick Madrid about this “Vicarius Filii Dei” non sense and he said it interesting that they had to make up a title for the Pope but EG White’s name in the Latin Numbering adds up to… You guessed it 666 as well as Martin Luthers name as well. I dont know how this numbering is done but I am sure Mr. Madrid does!i can`t vouch that Ellen G White personally prophesied the above; but if she did, her motive was skewed…
Back in the early 1970s, i came across an SDA book titled “Time Running Out”, by Arthur S Maxwell, a well known SDA promoter. It was full of the usual SDA “just around the corner” language. In a chapter titled “Reviving A Once-Dead Church”, Maxwell had no hesitation in branding the Catholic Church as THE BEAST. The IMAGE OF THE BEAST would be the greater part of Protestantism, which would not unite with Rome, but which would certainly become favourably disposed towards Rome.
Knowing the venomous rantings of EG White, i bet Maxwell was just repeating what she, and other assorted anti-Catholics (have) claimed.
Being deceived (Do you really think she was, post-Miller?) is one thing: outright lying is something else. Claiming that one of the Pope`s titles is “Vicar of the Son of God”, “Vicarius Filii Dei” in Latin, is a blatant lie. It just happens that the Latin letters add up to 666; and while no Pope has ever claimed that title, why let Truth stand in the way of religious gutter press sensationalism?
EG White was in it up to the proverbial hilt.
In our Lords day, His enrmies condemned whatever He did. Ditto for the Churchs enemies: EG White, H Armstrong, J Chick et al.

I agree with everything this guy said.Let us call a spade a spade…and be truthful about it…is she was a false prophet, let it be so, there is no hiding the fact…be we should be charitable about it though.

Factually speaking,she was a false prophet so there nothing wrong with saying that.In fact its natural and important when we see something that is false that we then state it for safety of others.
We should still say it kindly though,but we can objectively and without anger/emotion state she was a false prophet.
Another example,a doctor might label someone very overweight as obese.He/shes not being uncharitible by stating they are obese and helping with a weightloss program to help them.
But if he stated making fun of them,or assuming they were ‘greedy pigs’,intentionally overlooking that they might have an illness,or judging them etc then that would be uncharitable,i think.
