Catholic or not, that came across to me as heartfelt.
It reminds me of the 60s (and earlier) when Catholicism was portrayed positively by the secular media. That was influential in my own conversion in 1981, at age 21. I must remind myself to be grateful to the non-Catholics who contributed to it.
