We desperately need true Catholic leadership (teaching) in the US at this time. Not only teaching but setting great moral examples set by our Bishops.

Church leaders must adhere to principles of “The political community and the Church” as stated in the CCC, 2nd Ed (printed US, March 2000), to adhere to the teachings of the Church, rather than leaning far left or far right. The deviations from the CCC have been remarkable.

So - - where are most of our Bishops ? ? ?

Despite his blatant McCarthyist attitude, he’s got some good points.
 
When you consider that 80% of baptised Catholics in the US do not attend Mass on a regular basis, etc where have our Bishops been ?

Read your “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition” from cover to cover without taking anything out of context.
The video is correct.

Where have our Bishops been over the last 10 years? What have most of them been doing? By action or inaction many have not been doing their jobs.

They are responsible for what goes on in their Diocese.
 
If the Church were a corporation with stockholders, based upon PERFORMANCE in their own Diocese only, the majority pf US Bishops would fail. In private industry many would be canned.

Performance should be based upon the teachings of the Church:
in the CCC, 2nd Ed.;
the Roman Missal;
Canon Law;
obedience to and written directives from the Pope;
and other official Church documents from Rome, with nothing taken out of context.
(The CCC and other documents reference the correct Bible passages, so I am not stating Bible in this email.)

In their Diocese only - - -
How many of their Catholics know their Faith well enought to be able to defend it and help bring others to the Church?
How many Priests are correctly saying Mass and teaching fully in accord with Church documents?
Is any Diocese money going to those who violate Church teachings in some way ?
Do they encourage reading and study of the CCC, 2nd Edition for cradle Catholics ?

Each Bishop is responsible for his own Diocese and all the Catholic Churches with that Diocese.

Important: Be sure to praise the good Bishops. Pray the others will be like them. There some good bishops.

We should also remember to thank the excellent priests and deacons who are fulfilling their mission in their parrishes and beyond especially when the diocese falls short.
 
If I could teach, I would be a teacher at our Catholic school. I believe I am called to another mission. We, Catholics who are loyal to the Church, are the proverbial iron ball in the pit of America’s stomach. Christ doesn’t change, the world does and it is becoming more and more obvious that we won’t budge.

If we don’t pass Christ’s values and truths on to our children, they will drown in the sea of relativism and sensuality.
