Since no question was asked, I’m going to assume the OP finds this action immoral.

If that is incorrect, I preemptively apologize.

If I am correct, I stand to be corrected in my disagreement on the grounds of the traditional doctrine (term used loosely) regarding the dignity of human life. After all, we as Catholics get our knickers in a twist over abortion - the premature killing of the unborn. This frozen embryo, now given a shot at life, is one less life sent to heaven without being named beyond a number.

While the circumstances behind the conception of the embryo, and its subsequent carriage to term and birth, are likely not in line with the extremely limited view of acceptable sexual acts under the CCC, this does not negate that a life was saved.

Before someone comes along to say “a sin cannot negate another sin”, let me talk to you about our pal, the Just War Doctrine…

Interestingly,I just attended a lecture given by Dr.Christian Bruggar. He holds a doctorate in bio ethics and is a professor of theology at our seminary here in Denver. This topic came up
As he is currently doing a paper supporting the adoption of human embryos. He mentioned that the Church has still not come to a definitive conclusion re this issue. He then stated that he willbe obedient to whatever conclusion they do determine.
Personally,I see this as a compassionate act, otherwise these embryos remain in a suspended state until which time they are destroyed.
IVF is not condoned by the Church,so I assume if this adoption issue is approved,it will be a lesser of two evils sort of decision.🤷

Makes sense. I suppose it’s like adultery or fornication. Those acts are illegal but once conceived…
