My oldest brother Pat, who is only 49, was rushed to the hospital earlier today with a blood clot in his lung. I just received a call that his condition is worsening, and the doctors are not sure if he will survive the night.

My family is requesting prayers for him. Please help.

Grog I’m so sorry.
I’ll pray for Pat and for you all at all my weekday Masses.
I lost my Mum that way.

Please give your family my love and prayers.I hope you all get to spend time with Pat.
Praying for you all and for Pat in the coming hours.

Lord, please heal Pat and help him survive this blood clot in his lung. May he be protected by his guardian angel and be totally at peace with you. Give him strength and courage to get through this agony of his. Bless him and grant him health and salvation. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

For Pat and his family -

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Loving God,

Please hear the prayers of your people for Pat and his intentions. Please bless him and his friends and family members during this time of great concern and anxiety.

Amen.

On behalf of my brother, my family, and myself, I would like to thank everyone for your continued prayers. Last night the doctors were only giving my brother a 50% chance of surviving the night.

I have received word that my brother’s condition is stabilizing, and his odds are improving. Treatment seems to be going well, and I know he appreciates the prayers on his behalf.

Thank you all again, and thanks be to God.

The Lord is truly good to all who come to Him.
May our Lord continue to bless your brother.

Excellent news. Prayers offered.

I will remember your brother Pat in my prayers this evening. May the Lord, the Divine Physician, come to him and heal your brother. May He strengthen your brother, giving him peace and courage for the trials ahead.

I want to thank everyone for your prayers. When my brother was admitted to the hospital, the doctor told us he was extremely fortunate - most people admitted with his condition don’t make it through the first night.

Fortunately, through the grace of God, he is on his way to recovering. He spent the first week in the hospital, and is now back home with his two sons. He will be on medication for the foreseeable future, but the prognosis is good.

Thank you all again. 🙂
