This isn’t a debate thread, just an general informative one for all EMHC here.

I know one for certain: NEVER pour the Precious Blood of Christ into the sacrarium. Never ever.

Stay outside the Sanctuary/altar area until after the priest has received both forms.

If necessary consume the remaining Blood of Christ in your chalice, but do not purify it. Place it either on the altar or credence table for the priest or deacon to purify.

Don’t approach the tabernacle to retrieve the ciborrium or to replace it. That is reserved for the deacon and/or priest.

Do arrive at least 20 minutes before Mass to make sure that things are in order.

Do not wear anything that could be construed as resembling a stole or some other liturgical vestment (i.e. green, gold, purple, rose overlays).

Do spend some time in prayer.

If you don’t know what to do in case of various emergencies or if you have any other questions, ASK. Don’t be ashamed of admitting you don’t remember every single thing you were taught during orientation. If you’ve been told ten times and have forgotten ten times…ask AGAIN.

Don’t think that this is something that starts when Mass starts and ends when Mass ends. Even though they are not ordained, EMsHC need to particularly cultivate their love of the Eucharist and their knowledge about the faith, particularly about the Mass.
