I recently stumbled upon this youtube channel called Emmanuel TV. It chronichles the miracles operated by Pastor T.B. Joshua, which involve healings, prophecies…and exorcisms. LOTS of them.
The problem is…there is something that does not convince me. Not only is his exorcism ratio way too high (doesen’t only a meager percentage of “possessed” people turn out to be truly possessed, while most of the others are simply ill? And isn’t an exorcist supposed to be the most skeptic of the situation?) but they look terribly…fake. The “possessed” seem to be acting…in a terribly bad way - and…well, check it for yourselves.

Problem is…besides the adoring preachers in the comment section, this guy is basically regarded as a prophet and a holy man in his homeland…although he’s not without controversy

So…what do you think? Real or fake?

Ive never seen this guy, but Ive watched many other ‘faith healings’.

The healings probably are real, but its the source that is questionable.

Remember, Jesus said there will many false prophets performing all kinds of miracles, but they are not coming from God.

Besides that, what would someone claiming to a faith healing be if the healings were not even real… a ‘fake- false prophet’? LOL

Plus, If these faith healings were fake and could easily be shown to be fake, thats not a very effective deception, in that it does not fool many people.

You’re right. Sometimes a demon inflicts illness on a person, and at the appropriate time removes the illness and makes it look like a miracle.

He might be a master in the profession of deception, and the people might be more gullible (and superstitious?) than they should be. 🤷

If the demonic really is involved, that feller is playing with fire and could get his fingers badly burnt. And more than just his fingers.

Unless this sort of thing is proved to be genuine, it’s prudent to assume it’s false.
