My only concern was that people seemed to be excited about attending services at the new monastery perhaps believing it to be an Eastern Catholic monastery; and, as Catholics, we cannot receive the Holy Eucharist at an Orthodox church.
There are exceptions to this rule. Check out canon law.

JR, enough of the cryptic responses to my postings.

I am aware that I am a lowly lay Carmelite and you are a lofty Franciscan.

Here we are discussing a Greek Orthodox Monastery and a Catholic may not receive the Holy Eucharist at a Greek Orthodox Church, or do you know better.

I did not send you a cryptic message. This has nothing to do with what religious family one belongs to.

I simply said that the law does not make a blanket statement that Catholics may not receive communion at Orthodox Divine Liturgy. There are conditions and exceptions in canon law. That’s why I said, “check canon law.” That’s pretty black and white.
