I’d never heard of her and I don’t have a TV but I am horrified.

Kathy Griffin was pretty and cute when she was young, but she has had lots of plastic surgery. I feel for any woman who feels she has to permanently change her physical appearance to feel better about herself.

Her stock in trade is outrageous statements, its an easy way to get attention, so many of these media creatures do it nowadays on the left and on the right. I just hope that they see how horrible the things they say are and pray for forgiveness.

I would think that could be forgiving as well. I don’t believe it falls under canon law for excommunication and if it did, they would have to know it was an offense deserving excommunication and even that could be forgiven by the right methods. I stopped watching it simple because it got to be too vulgar and promoting alternative lifestyles (gay, porn, etc). I fiqured i could spend my time better in other places. And I certainly do see why people are taking offense at blasphemy; it’s belittling what they hold most sacred. However, when they turn around and attempt to paint the entire left wing as arrogant, ignorant blasphemers, libertines, and hypocrites, I take offense – and, pray tell, why shouldn’t I?

You mean JP2’s attacker was Christian? Well I think she could be forgiven if she had had prejudices or misunderstandings perhaps.

Unfortunately, once a label is attached to someone or they themselves attach a label, then a lot of people do assume that “they” are ALL like that.

Sadly, some people run around using terms like “pure liberal” and other such nonsense tags to identify people. Politics has replaced God in some people’s lives, i.e. he’s a left leaning Reagen style Democrat. Can I get an English translation of that?

Kathy Griffin and too many other “comedians” are joining the anti-Catholic Propaganda team, including Bill Maher, Rosie and others. Bashing Catholics is not only “fashionable” but part of the recent anti-religion-in-general crusade going on in the media.

They always seem to get a pass because they can begin their diatribes with those 4 little words that always make me cringe:

"I was raised Catholic…"

Usually what follows is neither pleasant nor charitable. The thinking always seems to be, however, that if you were baptized and sent to Catholic school for a time, you can claim expertise and freely bash.

I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t what we get when we put our faith in the de facto 8th sacrament of Holy Osmosis: Send em to a Catholic school, and they will somehow absorb the faith.
