Empathy towards women?

Why do men need to show more empathy for women? Why shouldn’t they just love them, protect them and show sympathy when needed? We are not all going to have the same life experiences but we have a mandate to show the same love to one another.

I thought it was kind of cute and kind of funny.

I thought such a demonstration is helpful for some men who seem to believe that labor pain is just in women’s heads or that women are just overreacting because they are weak and too sensitive.

I see it as a joke, with potential to give some people more understanding, and morally neutral.

:banghead::confused: What a bunch of tripe! Just yet ***another *stab at the Feminization of the American Male. The Male does just mighty fine in the process just as God designed him to be already.

Hmmmmmmmm… Now if they just made a machine that helped* women*** feel the pain** of circumcision:cool: 👍 👍👍

Good grief! … I just do not understand people… “cute”…"funny"… what a joke… unbelievable…

Try having kidney stones. Even women admit that it’s bad pain like labor pain. 😉
I actually know several women who claim that between kidney stones and labor pains, kidney stones are way more painful.

I agree. There are pains that only women can feel and there pains that only men can feel.

I know a bunch of males who have already- many times in fact- felt truly the pains of labor, when they were arm-deep in a ewe, cow, or mare, trying to help her deliver. I’ve been there too, and it is mighty painful and bruising. I’m a female, and my arms are much smaller, so it’s not so bad for me, though.

Worse, actually. I never passed out from the pain of childbirth.

As for the silly machine…Giving birth was a transformative experience for me, the first time. The person I was when the labor started, no longer existed after I had given birth to our son. For me it was a spiritual experience, related and yet unrelated to the pain. It was the WHOLE experience that transformed me. The pregnancy as well as labor and delivery. How could a man ever hope to understand that? God created women to carry and bear children. Men have other responsibilities. God knew what he was doing.

Fatherhood is a purely spiritual experience. At no time does a man physically carry the kid inside yet any man who is true father still feels a powerful bond with his kids as well as his pregnant wife. Seeing a woman pregnant has a huge affect on the male brain (drlauraberman.com/sexual-health/pregnancy/pregnancy-affects-fathers). That power of that bond can only be rooted in the spiritual side of men. Also, men will die for their woman without thinking twice (huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/23/aurora-shooting-boyfriends-died-protecting-girlfriends_n_1695290.html). Women rarely ever offer to take a bullet for their man. I think guys understand the mystery of life quite well and don’t need a physical pregnancy to understand it. Can you elaborate on those responsibilities you think God gives men?

God told Eve: Genesis 3:16 “I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband’s power, and he shall have dominion over thee.”

God told Adam: Genesis 3:17-19 “Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee, that thou shouldst not eat, cursed is the earth in thy work: with labour and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life. Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and thou shalt eat the herbs of the earth. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return to the earth out of which thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and into dust thou shalt return.”

One responsibility God gave men as fathers is to pass on the faith. I read studies that show that men actually have a greater effect on the faith of their children. A religious father is more likely to have religious children than a religious mother. The ideal of course would be two religious parents. An atheist father and religious mother would likely have atheists children.

Another one, a father is supposed to model the love of God, since God is often referred to as the Father. A lot of women who have trouble with the concept of God the Father had fathers who were not there or were abusive.

Any guy who participates probably feels like a woman trapped in a mans body.

The Scriptures hath Spoken! Well done. It** is** just as clear as this.🙂

Secularists and radical Feminists that want to muck this up would be better served to
listen to itt rather than change it.

Indeed. It seems to me we have *enough *advocates in the Media of these kinds of psychological archetype models, as described above, already:cool:

Yes. It is a ridiculous, pathological concept that insists that men should feel women’s pain, or that women should feel men’s pain. There is enough pain in life as it is. Deal with that pain, and have sympathy for others based on that. We all know what it is to feel pain.
