Employment Dilemma

I have been unemployed several months. I came across a job in a pharmaceutical company.

Let’s say the plant I’m interested in doesn’t make any birth control nor aborfients. But some other plants or subsidiaries did. May I work for the plant I’m interested in?

I am pretty conservative and I believe that it would be fine to take the job. Your awareness indicates that you have your moral compass set. In reality, many of the places that we shop in or patronize can be linked with some types of immoral behavior. We just have to be aware and not support those who directly choose not to uphold human dignity. Secondary actions of any company can be networked into the unknown thus making us incapable of working anywhere. The owners of my company could be involved in immoral acts but I am not there directly because their choices.

If we all thought like that then nobody would be employed anywhere. I would bet almost every big manufacturer somehow does something that contradicts Church teaching.
