So we as Catholics believe that at the final judgement God will judge all mankind. We believe that we will be reunited with our bodies. But I’m sure that means no more new humans. And our bodies created Male and female are ordered to procreation. And there is no marriage in heaven. So for an eternity in the new heaven and new earth we will have our bodies, with sex organs and never use them?

Have you likewise considered other bodily functions?

This used to worry me as I already struggle with overcoming porn addiction
Having no hope for getting to experience that in heaven was heartbreaking even if it’s a selfish desire

I just know I’ll be perfectly happy no matter what (because I literally won’t be able to feel sad about it) so I guess I can’t really complain if I make it

I’ll just be supremely grateful to be in heaven instead of hell.

Supremely grateful.

‘But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.’ Matt 22:29-30

Oh no doubt! It’s just weird to think there’s a finite number of souls that will be created and that’s it. Forever.

I struggle with eating too much.

Can we eat in heaven?

I think we can. Jesus ate after he resurrected.

But angels dont have bodies. And we believe in the resurrection of the body.

That is why he said ‘like angels’. That sounds wonderful to me.

Yes I agree about it being wonderful. But just wondering what the purpose of the body is.

Will resurrected bodies be sexual bodies — capable of sexual activity? Philosophy
After the Resurrection and the New Heavens/Earth it’s a great mystery as to what we’ll be doing. 1 John 3:2 “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” I’m sure God could increase the number of humans if he desired to do so. Matthew 3:9 “And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these st…

I was referring to sex but it might just be important to me because I’m young and sorta selfish about that

There’s likely something up there for people who desire this tho
Some kind of replacement even if it’s nothing like the act itself

But I’ll just be happy im not in hell too.

I would actually rather not exist than risk hell but that’s not possible or my choice

I don’t think we’re going to care about all that.
Our experience will be something very beyon what we know now

Likewise if an 80 or 90 year old dies will he have an 80 or 90 year old body in heaven?

I doubt it.

I don’t know if I remember right but I read somewhere we will be perpetually 33 years old in heaven, the same age as Jesus when he resurrected.

Hmmm. My body was indeed glorified at 33…
Who am I kidding…
