I have no idea when Our Lord will return, but I believe we are being chastised right now.

I don’t know when He will return, but I certainly hope that it happens in my lifetime if the world continues to morally collapse at its current pace.

“But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.” - Matthew 24:36 That answers your question

Yeah, :sad_yes: unfortunately. Eh, I only listen to his radio station only because of the nice music and the Bible readings to help me go to sleep. But I don’t believe in anything he teaches and/or believes. So don’t worry traditionalists I’m not having a healthy dose of heresy 😉

God bless :byzsoc:

for a man of harold campings years it disguisting the way he goes on…a typical prodestant lunatic:frighten:…hehe joke!!!😃

I really don’t think that [SIGN]the end is near[/SIGN]. but that could just be me. I just prefer not to think about it and try to stay in a state of grace just in case:thumbsup:👍👍

We are in the End Times. We have been since Christ ascended into Heaven and sent down the Holy Spirit upon Pentecost. It might be bewildering to think of the “last days” as being over 2000 years, but it will not conclude until the Eschaton, the Second Coming of Christ.

As to when that is? God only knows.

Hi,Kevin, and welcome. Jesus, in His humanity has told us plainly, only the Father knows the time. Many events have occurred in ages past when end times have been prophesied, so far we have learned,as Scripture asserts ! there will be many false prophets asserting such things.
I think it very import to recall , that our personal end time is always near.

May God Bless:)

Only God knows the answer to that no matter what any human says.

Christ told us not to look for signs and to always be ready.

looking at the state of the world of this our generation, there is doubt that God will sooner or later purge with punishment for the unnumerable sins that are being committed in it.

Many have thought they were experiencing the end of the world when it was just the end of their world - e.g. St Augustine thought his world had ended when Rome was sacked.

Following that line of thought I think the end of our world may be near - e.g. economic meltdown, demographic winter, global warming, Avian flu, stray asteroids etc. But the world will reform and go on without us, just as it went on without Rome.

I have to agree with the statement above. And for those that disagree with this statement I hope they attend confession early and often. Maybe we all should anyway…

Actually when speaking of the end of the age Jesus said there would be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars and when you see them, look up because your redemption is near (i.e. He is coming soon when those signs occur.)

P.S. many of those signs have occurred and are occurring. God bless you. Visit end times speculation thread in the back fence section to learn more.

While true we have been in the last days since the time of the Apostles, Revelation 20 and Daniel speak of a specific short time just before Jesus returns that is called ‘the time of the end’, the ‘short time of Satan’, the ‘time, times, and a half time’ and others. The question is are we in that ‘short time of Satan’, and many who study those things believe we are because of the signs that have occurred and are occurring. God bless you.

There are some signs listed in Matthew 24 but they are pretty vague, but what Jesus does say is

[bibledrb]Matt. 24:36[/bibledrb]

[bibledrb]Matt. 24:44[/bibledrb]

It is true that there is, within the Last Days, a period of time that is to be more intense than others. However, as many others have said, Christians throughout time have thought that they were already there. Given that fact, I’m not so sure that it is wise to speculate if we’re necessarily in “the short time of Satan”. I think instead we should focus on the Gospel of Christ and spreading that Good News.

That being said, there is nothing wrong with being aware of our times, and looking for the Second Coming.

God bless you 🙂

Yeah I am always wondering the end also. I also watched that end of the world thing on History Channel. And your right about the end of the world over here in the U.S. even though i knew the world wasn’t going to end it kept everyone on edge because like the Bible says nobody knows.

One thing Catholics should think though, is that since by Jesus, we do not need to fear death, so why fear the end of days? (just saying…) As Catholics, we are all called to serve the lord, including spreading the gospel, celebrating the eucharist, etc. We will just do what we can do with the strength from the Lord, and those who we are not able to reach and affectionate (for whatever reason), God we have other ways of judging/saving them.

Anyway, if someone is telling me end times is near, I would just reply “So what?”

We respect what we have in this world, but look foward to the next world to come.
