I recently raised a petition concerning CAFOD/Caritas involvment with Amnesty International. The petition successfully persuaded them to remove visible links to Amnesty on their website. I am pursuing the conflict of interest issue further with a new petition after first highlighting the problem to CAFOD who believe their position to be justified.

Please veiw and consider signing.

Thankyou,

I am not familiar with these petitions. Seems like the issue concerns the UK or can anybody sign the petition? I am certainly against abortion and organisations supporting it directly or indirectly (knowingly).

I hope corporations just stop making political statements and siding with one side over another. I want to base my selection of a product based on the quality of a product, not because they support traditional marriage or are pro-life. I mean, those things are good too, but then grocery shopping becomes a political exercise instead of just getting the stuff you need for home.

Yesterdays reading…

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 10,1-10.

Amen, amen, I say to you: He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold but climbeth up another way, the same is a thief and a robber.
But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the porter openeth: and the sheep hear his voice. And he calleth his own sheep by name and leadeth them out.
And when he hath let out his own sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
But a stranger they follow not, but fly from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.
This proverb Jesus spoke to them. But they understood not what he spoke.
Jesus therefore said to them again: Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
All others, as many as have come, are thieves and robbers: and the sheep heard them not.
I am the door. By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved: and he shall go in and go out, and shall find pastures.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they may have life and may have it more abundantly.

I have LDI’s boycott list and frequently use it. We have stopped eating at certain restaurants whose franchise and corporate policy deem donations to Susan G. Koman as worthy.

Whenever I get a solicitation from a major charity, I also check the list and if they are on it, will reply in their return stamped address envelope why it violates my moral principles to give to them. That must make them really mad to have to pay for such postage, expecting a donation only to find a protest against the company. Don’t cha just love it? 😃

Tig please sign and consider leaving a comment highlighting their work.

Blessings,
Stefan

“I had foreseen then, if one may put it that way, that the Church would become small, that one day she would become a Church comprising of a minority of society and that she could then no longer continue with the large institutions and organizations that she has but would have to organise herself on a more modest scale.”

“For this reason it seems very important to me that such words not be simply pescriptions from above but rather that Christians themselves learn together that in many respects they have to be a force of resistance.”

CAFOD now have celebs in on the act of promoting the IF event at Hyde Park with pro-abortion organisations. Again please consider signing my petition above…

The promo from Dermot O’Leary…

TV and Radio presenter, and life-long CAFOD supporter, Dermot O’Leary is supporting the Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign, and wants you to join him.
“This year we have a real chance to change the lives of millions of people who face a daily, desperate struggle against hunger. At the Big IF London rally in Hyde Park on 8 June 2013, we have the opportunity to tell the government that they need to take action on this desperate situation… IF enough of us join in, the government will have to listen.

“IF, like me, you’re hungry for change, now is the time to make yourself heard.”
