Hello!
I haven’t posted here yet, so getting used to it 🙂

It’s been a while that i had come across NDEs- this is a fairly controversial topic in the 1st place, but there it is- and i read Ned Dougherty’s book (who is catholic!) ‘Fast Lane to Heaven’ where he describes his journey out of his body to heaven where he was given private revelations from the Lady of Light etc. I believe he continues to receive messages to this day, and so i wanted to share it with you.
This relates to end times because many revelations he was given are how this world is in a bad state, how the people have turned away from God, and how “prayer can save the world from disasters”. The idea is for people to pray - even to form groups and pray for issues in the world. he was told that 100 or so can save a nation from going to war, etc. He even founded Mission of Angels where the idea is to promote awareness of this…

SInce I have read it and became interesting. I feel this push to do something about it but i feel I am powerless on my own and thinking about these issues and how i feel i dont do much (I am scrupulous, too!! and excessively neurotic and obsessive about some things too -just a bit of self-criticism 🙂 ) does not help. So i’d be glad if anything could be done, to form prayer groups, raise awareness of it, and ‘save the world from destruction?’ I seriously encourage you to read this book- for those who may dismiss it as nonsense, lies, scam- don’t judge until you know what it is you are judging 😛 there are many things there which are improbable to be just chance and random but rather point to a supernatural cause & direction…
Off the point but- besides that, it helped me to answer some questions I’d been struggling with- now I have 1 fairly powerful argument against abortion which really is good enough and takes it from a different perspective.

I mean, i’d be interested to hear your opinions on this. I’ve asked several noncatholc christians about it as well…
Above all, I’d be glad if God could help guide this- and to make people’s hearts change… for the better so we all recognize Him as our Savior and acknowledge His Presence…
(i know, i never quite understand why God/Virgin Mary would ask us to pray to God, why cant they just act as if we do- but i believe this is for another discussion- :D)

PS In the book there may be some things which may seem “strange” to some at first glance, mainly those christianity in general does not deal with (e.g. where were souls before we are born, if anywhere?)

God bless,
KK

We will never know the day or the hour, but I think we are close.

Every generation thinks its the last generation, we might need at least a minor chastisement though.

I think you have raised discontinuous issues. Is the world going to end soon, and can we make changes by praying, individually and in groups, for the well-being of the world.

To the first, I say it could be, but not something I am going to spend a lot of time speculating on. What will be, will be in God’s time. We just need to keep on doing the best we can day to day AS IF today was going to be our last. Somewhere it say in the Bible that if you are plowing your field, you should just continue doing that. We need to put our trust in God and not worry.

As to the second issue, we have ample biblical references as to the efficacy of prayer. I think it would be wonderful to form groups to pray for world peace, for return to more godliness in our culture. Sometimes I think I am just thinking “old thoughts” when I get worried about where we are headed as a nation. After all, every generation has thought thie next is ruining everything. In this case it may be true. It seems to me that people are turning away from God in great numbers. Personally, I do not want a “remnant” to go to Heaven, I would like it to be crowded!.

Maybe we need to start a daily Rosary for the conversion of the world. It seemed to help release Russia from bondage.

I just don’t think we should do such a thing because we are afraid of the end, but rather becasue we join with God’s Love in loving others enough to pray for them on a corporate level. Now that has some continuity!

I believe we are in a minor chastisement. Too many things must yet happen for the end to be near…imo. 🙂

Ok, so you guys think this is an “old” issue and there is nothing special that should be done?

Yes, forming groups (whether it is Rosary or other things - some people find it difficult to focus on it, and many noncatholics could have a problem with that) would be a good idea. but how, when, where? raising awareness is another thing… there is sooo much information in the world out there, some beneficial and some detrimental, some true & some false… but i believe there are many beneficial and good things we could learn- and others could learn if we spread it… of course, that doesnt mean we should just spam other peoples mailboxes with all sorts of stuff, because that may not lead to anything productive. but perhaps speaking about it in churches, prayer meetings etc? just ideas…
yes i feel something telling me i should do more for others, etc etc- but im also scrupulous and get al sorts of ideas, and as soon as i “discover” something like that i have an urge to share it with others, as if i had some great responsibility and i had the power to change the world or sthg like that.
It’s God who’s in control but then we are the beings who have the free will, so it’s up to us what we do…
any ideas how to make it more effective?

Keep praying 😛

I don’t think the
End Times
are just around the corner, but I do agree there is a lot of trouble coming. Mary turned up at Akita, with weeping, bleeding statue as her public witness, and warned us that God was preparing a tremendous chastisement.

Her words echo Revelation, for those who think Akita, Lourdes, Fatima etc. are unbiblical.

Revelation 9:6 NIV
During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
So I agree there is immense trouble looming. One doesn’t need to look far to see that much.

To be honest, since it’s foreshadowed in Revelation, and Mary has warned about it, and she in turn is probably the woman who figures in Revelation Chapter 12 anyway, I don’t see how it can be avoided, since the Scriptures must be fulfilled.

My own take is that God will use the immense trouble to push us off the planet and out into the huge, forbidding universe He’s made. I don’t think He plans for the human story to end just yet, but I do think He intends to teach us a very painful lesson.

Just as with Israel, there’ll be a remnant. And they’ll need to be pretty tough.

Maybe we need to start a daily Rosary for the conversion of the world. It seemed to help release Russia from bondage.
I have been doing just that privately for three weeks now. I invite others to join me. When I first started it was for the reconversion of Europe, but it has grown to a much broader scope.

We will never know the day or the hour, but I think we are close.
We have been in the “last days” since Pentecost. Whether or not this is the last part of the last days is an interesting question. There’s certainly a lot going on the world that points in that direction and on a scale that no previous generation could have possibly grasped simply because they lacked the kind of information we have today.
Every generation thinks its the last generation,
Well then. At least one generation is going to be right. The last generation.

I think they are very close. If I could discern what the seven heads in Revelation 17 represent, I would be even more confident in my assumption.

When the seventh ‘head’ falls, the eighth ascends from the bottomless pit (compare to Revelation 20, when the beast ascends from the pit at the end of the ‘millenium’ and gathers the nations to battle at Armageddon.)

far as I know, the man-o-lawlessness hasn’t appeared yet…unless I missed something.
