Engagement/Betrothal rite in the Extraordinary Form

I recently discovered that there is a Betrothal rite in the usus antiquior of the Roman Rite. Given the renewed interest in the '62 missal, does anyone know if anyone has picked up this practice? Has anyone ever witnessed it?

On a more practical level, given that the rubrics call for an altar server, I take it a priest without any help can’t celebrate the rite?

Well, I am old enough to have witnessed it and to have gone through it myself, but I have never heard of it or seen it done. I do not think it was used that commonly. The only thing I remember that was commonly done was publishing the Wedding Banns.

Perhaps it was done in certain ethnic churches or in other countries more commonly.

I received the blessing along with my fiancé today. The rite in iiself is quite interesting: it is very similar to the rite of Matrimony.
The priest who blessed me had a hard time actually finding the rite. According to him, it started to fall out of use around 150 years ago!
