English should supplant Latin as Church’s official language‽

Inside the Church? Worldwide, Chinese, Spanish, and English are the top three most spoken languages (Ethnologue).

In terms of the number of countries where a particular language is spoken English and French are are at the top of the list.

The King James Version is a Protestant bible, though. I find it strange they are talking about it rather than the Catholic Douay-Rheims version, which is actually slightly older than the KJV

The link was just to show how the English language has changed and will continue to change whereas Latin is ‘dead.’ The apologists used the King James as the site amongst other things deals with King James onlyism.

I want to say that there was something verging on the criminal in the enforcement of the liturgical changes allegedly stemming from the Vatican II Council. The great silent majority of the Church was not asked its opinion or its needs and sensitivities. Overnight, the faithful had the Julia Child Mass forced upon them. I remember when some priests allowed laity to choose Mass readings which actually were clippings from secular newspapers. The bottom line is that many Catholics were treated like they were evil, mentally ill, dangerous, or subversive because they wanted to worship within the ritual of their fathers and grandfathers. The great liberal beings of the Council stormtoopers and commissars in their ramming down the throats of the lambs the strange, new liturgy while simultaneously forbidding the old liturgy which had been organically grown, scandalized beyond estimation. Posterity will judge their immorality and will pronounce on the stupidity of those who played God with the human race in their igrorance of the cardinal importance of ritual in its necessary connection to myth, especially objectively true myth.

The NO Mass is NOT “no-mass!” It is [regretably in my opinion] the “Ordinary Form” of the once Sacred Liturgy, BUT is has been approved by Papal authority and by the Ordinary Magistrium.

If you have an alternative that is Faithful and viable for you; take it with God’s Blessings!

If not attend Mass in accord to the third Commandment, receive Christ ONLY from the priest or deacon, ON YOUR TONGUE, genuflect before receiving, approach Christ with your hands folded, and pray that piety and sanity will again someday make “Gathering Spaces” [bishops correct and current discription of what used to be “God’s house” = Churches shall again lead us to God centered Divine Worship and chueches that actually don’t look like town hall and protestant gathering rooms. **
