Enough heartache

This is my first time posting and I need more prayer then I can offer up for my son. Although he is 29 years old he has not had a gentle road. He has so much pain in his heart and is trying to get his life back. He married the love of his life and put her through grad school, moved to a new town for her job and then she wanted to get a divorce and he was without a job because of job environment. He had moved 2,000 miles away for what he thought was going to be a wonderful life. Isolation from family and a bad marriage lead him to drinking. He has moved back to his home town a year ago and after going through a recovery program is 2 months clean and sober. He has put in job applications to everything possible, does have a college degree but has been told he is over qualified for jobs. Today he called me and said “mom, I called a friend and asked about how to find his way back to God.” Later today he got a call saying he was over qualified to have a hardware clerk job and he was getting very depressed. At 9:10 tonight he called and said I have a job interview tomorrow morning for a department manager trainee job. He has a management degree! I said praise God to let you have the opportunity to have the interview. I need help to ask that God will give him confidence to do his best. I know everything is in God’s time but Dear God, I think it is time. :amen:

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners

Here is a little prayer that you might want to share with him:

God, our Father, I turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment.

I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment.

Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance.

Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

His conversion and heroic sanctification were the fruit of your prayers. Dear St. Monica, we now ask you to pray with us for all those sons and daughters that have wandered away from God, and to add your prayers to those of all mothers who are worried over their children. I can not thank you enough for the prayers…my heart felt so light after reading the prayers. I feel like I am renewed with enough energy and the spirit to keep on going for my son. God bless you all.
