I attended a Sunday evening Mass at an away Roman Catholic church.
The front entrance is sectioned from the main sanctuary. On the wall is a sign which states: ENTER WITH REVERENCE.
Does your church have a reverence sign?

No.

I’ve only seen these types of signs (usually with a bit more detailed wording ) at entrances of churches that are in tourist areas or that have historic/ tourism value, such that people coming in might be just sightseers rather than worshippers.

Sometimes, as with the church I attended today, there is a notice at the entrance to turn off your cell phone and devices.

The only sign I saw in a church was, “Remember, the first person to leave the Last Supper was Judas”.

That’s a good one. I saw that a few months ago in a Church bulletin item exhorting people to not leave Mass early. Made me chuckle, I never thought of it that way. I usually hang around because I like to get the blessing at the end.

No, but at the Blessed Sacrament, nextdoor, there’s a sign that says God can contact us a lot of different ways, but not by cell phone! It went on to say to shut cell phones off while at the Blessed Sacrament. 😃

No reverence sign in any of the 4 Catholic Churches in my City. Once saw a sign on Good Friday though in the back of the Church that said “please leave in silence” people were still standing and chatting in the back of the Church despite the sign. Frustrating.

Mary.

At the back of a newly decorated rural church here in Ireland’

PLEASE DO NOT LEAN ON THE WALLS.

As I discovered at my first Mass here, the old men who were ordered by Mammy to GO TO MASS, even though she has been in the burial ground years, still come to Mass but they gather in the back porch and depart before communion.

Yes - with a note about mobile phones and a reminder that;
He said to them, "'My house will be called a house of prayer,'

@CatholicFireman - loved the quote about Judas being the first to leave 👍

The few Church of Ireland churches that are open during the day usually have a sign reminding that this is a House of Prayer and inviting folk to pray.
I love to see that.
And always accept the invitation.

Our priest had a sign put up on the front door. It says, ‘‘Be still and know that I am God.’’

I love that sign

This is a wonderful idea for a sign, and my favorite so far. Straight from the Bible as well.

Not at the entrance to the church, but a friend has a sign posted in the rectory bathroom

[SIGN1]**
Wash your hands and say your prayers
Because germs and Jesus are everywhere

**[/SIGN1]

I’d never seen/heard it before, but a Google image search indicates it is pretty common in the kitschy sign industry. 😛
