Our pre Mass announcement says “electrical devices”. This is straight from the priest who’s primary language is not English. When I do the introductory I change the word to ‘electronic’! Still, there’s always one phone that goes off - usually during a silent portion of the Mass.

We’re always told to please silence our cell phones, but it’s important to note that there are a lot of good Catholic apps to help with Mass and prayers. Once when I went to Eucharistic Adoration I had forgotten my breviary, so I was able to use my phone- silenced, of course- and pray it that way.
