Entering in About 14 Weeks

Dear friends,
Praised be Jesus Christ!

I humbly ask for prayers this evening. I am entering the convent in less than three months, and I am very much filled with joy, but a little nervous as well. 😊

I spent the afternoon going through old clothes and possessions in my room to get rid of and it was a bit difficult, but very freeing to let go of the material things with which I have bound myself to the world for so long!

I am very much a homebody, so entering a convent with limited contact with my family will be difficult, as it is for anyone. My mom is having an especially hard time right now. Please, please, pray for her and for me. These next few months are going to be quite difficult!

I appreciate it very much, my friends in Christ.

My, how the time has flown by. I remember when you announced your intention of entering religious life last October. That was “eight” months ago. See how fast that time went! Three and a half more months will be but a fraction of that time. You are like a baby in the womb about to be born into a beautiful world. We are all the friends and relatives awaiting that blessed moment. We will be praying for a “safe and happy delivery” to your new home. When you enter your new life it will be just as natural as it is for a newborn to take her first breath and look into the eyes of those who love her. I will remember you tomorrow at mass. :gopray2:

Yes, entrance is on Sept. 8th. Perfect day, right? How could it get better than Our Lady’s Birthday? I am so happy that I can give her the gift of myself that she can present to her Son on her birthday. :flowers: (even if I am so weak and poor before the beauty of Christ)
God is so good to want me anyway! 🙂

Please keep praying. Things are tough and the devil is laying it on thick! 😦
I keep praying for the grace to be joyful in spite of it all.
