Ah. A city library, meaning the public library? All kinds of stuff in there! The good, the bad and the ugly. Tons of new age, tons of occult, and hopefully a good amount of quality religious stuff.
Does everyone know that you can request your library to buy titles they don’t have? It works best with recently published things.

No not a public library. A Diocesan Catholic Library. Used by mainly Catholic High School Teachers and also adults doing faith enrichment courses. The library is located near the Bishop’s residence.
That is why it is surprising to me that these books aren’t screened before being made available.
 
I second Ruth Burrows, O.C.D. as an excellent author on prayer. The Carmelite community I am in is now doing a study on her book “Essence of Prayer”. We sit at round tables with six at each table and discuss a couple of chapters a month, after reading them at home.

Very helpful conversations take place.
