Does the Catholic Church teach entire sanctification?

We don’t use that expression, which I believe is pretty much confined to the Wesleyan/Holiness branch of Protestantism.

We do believe that Baptism removes the stain of Original Sin from the soul, but that concupiscence (the tendency to sin) remains in the flesh.

We do believe that a person can and should grow more “Christlike” by an ongoing submission of the will to the will of God. The power of concupiscence will be lessened in the believer as the will is more conformed to the indwelling Spirit. But we do not expect that the believer will generally be perfected in this life, although we would not deny that with God, all things are possible!

We believe that we must be perfected for entrance into heaven-a work of Gods’ grace and our cooperation in it. This coincides with scripture verses which state that no sinners will enter heaven. If you think about it, would anyone really want it any other way!?

Please explain what you’re asking. “entire sanctification” is not a recognized term among all Catholics (as a life-long Catholic I’ve never heard of it either).
