Dear Friends in Christ,
Praised be Jesus Christ!
I know that I have not been active on CAF for quite some time. This is because I have been trying hard to get myself away from the internet and deepen my prayer life and time with my family.
I ask for prayers, if you all don’t mind. I am 23 years old and I just finished college this May. I am entering the convent of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus (Central Province) in less than three weeks. Please keep my vocation in your prayers, that I persevere according to the will of God, humbly submit with love to my superiors, and let God’s grace shape me over time into an imitation of Jesus and Mary.
I know that it will not be easy. It will be the hardest thing I have ever done, especially leaving home for the first time and learning how to adjust myself to a totally different way of life. However, I am at such peace with everything right now! Such love! I know that God’s grace is truly sustaining me through all the emotional ups and downs that I have had and will continue to have as the weeks go on.
My superior told me to never rely on emotions, but to keep the Truth of what I am doing always in front of me.
If anyone has any specific questions about the discernment process, the Carmelites D.C.J, or anything else let me know. I will try to get online when I can. Time is running short at home with the family, but I will do my best to help however I can.
God bless you all, and thank you so much for the prayers. I will be praying for you all.
I truly need your prayers as well. I am so very weak and in such need of God’s grace and mercy! My weaknesses and failings will only demonstrate how great our God is, though!
