What are some of your favorite Chick tracts?

Whether they be hideously bad, horribly and unintentionally hilarious, or flat out ridiculous… what is your “favorite” Chick tracts?

They are so hilariously unhinged, they don’t even deserve to be responded to or refuted.

How in the world can somebody actually be gullible enough to believe any of this garbage? Especially in the West today with the Internet and google?!

We have someone made a rocket in order to prove the Earth is Flat. This is beyond evolution/creation/earth is how old issue.

Germany in 1933 was ‘Catholic’? I think all the millions of Protestant Germans would’ve begged to differ.

You know, I have wondered if Chick really believed int his stuff…or if it was an elaborate hoax or some wonky kinda performance art…
 
I don’t know, but here in the Southeast US it is easy to find them. All you have to do is go to your local public restroom.
 
It shows such a complete, total and striking level of ignorance, one is hard pressed where to even begin @LilyM…

Hitler and his top lieutenants (most especially Himmler) absolutely HATED Christianity, but ESPECIALLY Catholic Christianity.

Mitt brennender Sorge (with burning desire) was a Papal encyclical written in German and issued by Pope Pius XI that was so fiercely critical of the Nazis, that hundreds of Priests and Bishops were arrested, Catholic Churches closed down, rectories searched looking for copies of it, etc.

The GeStaPo and other Nazi party apparatus relentlessly and fiercely persecuted the Catholic Church.

One of our greatest modern Saints, Maximilian Kolbe, was martyred by the Nazis in a concentration camp.

The idea that Catholics were in bed with or supportive of the Nazis is so patently absurd, when one hears the claim repeated, it makes you think the accuser has literally never read a history book or even watched a documentary and is just making rubbish up as they go along.

I think what it is, people find out that Hitler was raised Catholic and somehow that means Catholics were complicit in Nazi crimes. Nevermind the fact, there’s no evidence that Hitler was practicing by the time that he moved to Vienna.

He was intensely private…

He has since passed, but I’ve read accounts of people who found him and spoke to him, and it appears he was “legit” - he really believed in this bizarre, delusional, nightmare world.
 
Quite the opposite of there being any evidence of Hitler practicing Catholicism after his childhood years (there isn’t, and he didn’t), there are MOUNTAINS of evidence showing that Hitler was, for all intents and purposes, an atheist.

Himmler was a Germanic neo-pagan, but Hitler thought all religious stuff was for weak minded plebeians.

It’s safe to just say “Hitler was an atheist”. When he talks about God in his speeches, he only did so because many Germans DID believe in God - it was political positioning, not representative of what he actually believed.

On a side note, many of the worst tyrants of the 20th century had something in common: atheism.

Lenin - atheist
Stalin - atheist
Hitler - atheist
Pol Pot - atheist
Mao Zedong - atheist

This is not to say all atheists are Hitlers or Stalins, but rather that atheism is not intrinsically at odds with tyranny.

You know, something else that many never seem to point out, is the Catholic and Lutheran clergy that were targeted by the Nazis.

I just wish that someone would give us access to this Vatican computer database because it would take a ton of work off us parish secretaries!!!
 
I think it possible that Jack Chick actually did believe his delusions, I don’t think it likely but I think it possible. Alberto Rivera on the other hand, I think was a known fraud, and see evidence that points to him intentionally deceiving people.

Spot on @adamhovey1988, nailed it.

Chick himself was a delusional madman who actually bought the trash he was sellin.

His buddy Alberto though was a simple conman… and Alberto was absolutely integral to the rise of Chick tracts, to the point where if there were no Alberto, there woulda been no Chick tracts.

O, Jack knows now.

He went to be judged by God in 2016.
. He must have been surprised to find out the Catholic Church which he had been fighting and misrepresentig all his life actually WAS the One True Church.
