This is unreal! This priest is removed for standing against homosexuality. What is our world coming to?

SAGINAW - The Rev. Eugene Geromel, vicar of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Clayton Township for the past 21 years, officially was ousted from the Episcopal Church by his bishop Thursday.
In a brief appearance before Bishop Edwin Leidel on Thursday at the Diocese of Eastern Michigan headquarters, Geromel, 57, lost his ability to act as a priest largely because of his opposition to the church’s acceptance of homosexuals.
But a statement from 14 conservative bishops across the United States read at his dismissal said they would welcome him in their diocese.
The ouster by Leidel, a liberal on the gay-rights issue, wasn’t unexpected. Geromel and St. Bartholomew’s Church have been at odds with the Episcopal Church for more than five years over Scripture interpretation, culminating with the 2003 ordination of openly gay Bishop V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire.

There is also another story of a priest being removed in Connecticut, but I could not find a link for it.
