Leaving aside the question of Anglican holy orders, what are the deficiencies of the Episcopalian/Anglican Eucharistic Prayers. From my brief research, there appear to be two versions, roughly equivalent to the Catholic Eucharistic prayers one and two.

The versions I’m looking at can be found here: justus.anglican.org/resources/bcp/formatted_1979.htm

I’ve read that another English translation was substituted for use by the Catholic Anglican Ordinates, and I’m curious what the exact deficiencies are.

You might direct this to Catholic Answers’ own Chaplain, Fr. Vincent Serpa. I am certain that you will receive a definitive answer.

I have read somewhere, not sure where, an opinion by a Catholic priest or liturgist that Anglican Eucharistic Prayers are sufficent to confect the Eucharist if a valid Catholic priest chose to use them. Doing so, however, would be against Canon Law.
