I hated the movie, But I guess it’s because I really liked bot the first and Second books.
I found nothing it it that was contrary to our faith and in any case, it is fiction and therfore cannot have anything to do with our faith.

I thought it was a remarkable story, by a very young man.
BTW- he pays subtle tributes and homages to his favorite writers in his books. JRR Tolkien and Steven King reerences are in there.

:nope: Stories, whether fictional or not, can most certainly carry heretical ideas. Books are meant to impart deeper meanings than the outward appearances. Don’t let your guard down just because you’re reading a fictional book.
 
I’m reading the book right now and I have to say the movie is a cheap skeleton of what the book is. They left so much out of the book.
