In Georgia, if votes were switched, why did people who voted for Joe Biden also vote for Republican David Perdue in the statewide Senate race?
There were two Senate elections in Georgia. One was a regular one between incumbent Republican Senator David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff. David Perdue won that race with a margin of 88,000 votes. The only reason there is another election in that race is because in Georgia, Perdue got slightly less than 50% of the vote (mainly because there were third party votes), forcing a run off election in January between Perdue and Ossoff.
Biden won GA by around 12,000 votes. If there was fraud, why did they not bother to change votes from Perdue to Ossoff as well?
The most likley explanation for this is that around 100,000 Republicans and Independents (out of several million) voted Republican down ballot while voting for Biden for President. Just like in many other areas of the US, Donald Trump underperformed compared to Republican Congressional and Senate candidiates. Not a big shock.
(The other GA Senate election, a special election, had 2 Republicans, incumbent Kelly Loeffler and MAGA Congressman Doug Collins splitting the Republican vote. Loeffler was an appointed to fill the empty Senate seat caused by retirement, but Collins was the Trump candidiate, so it is a different situation).
I have already gone over the results in Michigan in another thread. The results showed Biden winning Wayne County (the source of other significant claims of election fraud – Detroit and it’s inner suburbs) by a similar margin as both Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004, and significantly less than Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Biden simply did better than Hillary Clinton (or Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis) in Michigan. Trump only won by 10,000 votes there in 2016.
Almost all of the Republican complaints of vote fraud in Michigan are based on the results in Wayne County. But the results in Wayne County were entirely normal. Joe Biden won about 68% of the vote in Wayne County. In 2000, Al Gore won 69%. John Kerry took 69.4% in 2004. Barack Obama won Wayne County with 74% of the vote in 2008. Joe Biden’s performance in Wayne County was actually worse than any Democrat since 1996 other than Hillary Clinton in 2016 (66.4%) and Trump won 30.7% of the vote in Wayne Co. in 2020, better than any Republican since 1988.
In the vote totals, I am seeing results that do not look at all fraudulent.
