This was brought up in another thread, & I’m sure it has been addressed numerous times before, so please be patient & bear with me.
We know what is meant by “Esdras” (Ezra) can be different, based on whether it’s based on the Greek, Latin, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, etc. For example, what we call “1 Esdras” & “2 Esdras” might be called “3 Esdras” & “4 Esdras” by another group (or “Esdras A” & “Esdras B”). It can get confusing.
For the sake of argument, let’s say “2 Esdras” equates with the book of Ezra-Nehemiah when it was originally a single book, and “1 Esdras” referred to the “additions” to Ezra-Nehemiah.
In a debate between Catholic author, Gary Michuta, and Protestant, James White, they agreed there was a difference between how the Septuagint broke down these books, and the way the fourth century church councils & the Vulgate broke them down.
The question I am asking, is what versions of “Esdras” was in:

- the Septuagint?
- the fourth century church councils?
- Jerome’s Vulgate?
