So you’re saying that my statement about coyote populations in New England were at one time almost non existent is false.

OK, I live here and I was a hunter and conservation enthusiast since the 1960’s, I never saw a coyote, nor were any reported as being seen.

So, by your judement, New England Wildlife Management agencies wasted tax dollars and time reintroducing coyotes to the area. By your logic, they were already here and abundant.

Of course this is false, but believe what you will

No, I said nothing of the sort.

I said that when something breeds and reproduces rapidly (mold, rats, cancer, rabbits, whatever) and has a food source, "almost’ wiped out is like “barely pregnant.”

Either the population has been reduced to below the reproductive minimum, or the population will rebound. There is no middle ground or “almost”.
