Eucharist - Brushing Teeth/Flossing

It is a common custom to drink water immediately after Mass, so as to wash down any Particles of the Host.
All I can say is that in my decades of being Catholic this is the first I’ve ever heard of such a thing. None of our priest friends or anybody else has ever mentioned this. FWIW.
 
I may be extreme, but I cannot bring myself to chew the host, rather I let my saliva soften the host to swallow it whole. I just mouth “amen” and take a sip from the chalice when I partake of the Blood.
Christ says to TROGO which means to CHEW (literally) in the Greek.
