As a celiac I’m thankful that the Precious Blood seems almost universally offered in the region where I live.
To create a nuisance in the whole process of notifying the priest, requiring a genuine gluten free host that is true matter for Consecration, requirng bothering the priest with the whole process of having to make one available and keep it separate while distributing Communion is something my nature requires me to avoid. I’ve tried it upon others’ urging, but it is disruptive and requires unnecessary effort on the part of others.
There are enough people suffering from medically verified Celiac disease, that offering the Precious Blood does seem at least something to perhaps consider in parishes?
I usually position in a pew that will cause least disruption.
I’m thankful Communion under both forms is customary in my country.
