I want to create my personal image of Jesus. I wanted to do the elevation of the host with Jesus appearing crucified, just like this imagehttp://www.fatimafamily.org/store/images/Eucharist-Heaven-Earth.jpeg
Would I be allowed to do it or is it disrespectful?

I can’t see why it would be disrespectful. There are lots of such images used in devotional material.

It’s the use you make of the imagery that is at issue. Use it wisely and you’ll be fine. I would say it’s a lovely thing to do. I’d do it myself if I had the requisite artistic skills.

I wouldn’t call it ‘disrespectful’, but I don’t know that I’d call it theologically accurate, though.

The Eucharist is a re-presentation of Christ to the Father, but not a re-presentation of the Crucifixion. It is a participation in the Wedding Banquet of the Lamb. For those reasons, I don’t know how appropriate it is to have an image of Christ dead on the cross in this context. Rather, it would seem more appropriate to have the Risen Christ in this particular image.

(Now, I’m not saying that the Eucharist exists without Christ’s death on the cross. However, in the context of Heaven & Earth watching the consecration of the Eucharist at Mass, it would seem that Christ should be watching, not hanging dead upon the cross.) 🤷

God gave you the talent to draw or paint… use them for His Glory… who knows…maybe a career for you to paint Holy images.

Paul

Sacred art is strongly encouraged by the Church.
The holy paintings in the great basilicas and cathedrals were not made by first-timers. everyone needs to practice and hone their skills.
If you feel called to this type of art then most certainly go for it.
