“The Blessed Sacrament is that Presence which makes a Catholic Church different from every other place in the world; which makes it, as no other place can be, holy.”-Blessed John Henry Newman

" Many people nowadays say, ‘I wish I could see his shape, his appearance, his clothes, his sandals.’ Only look! You see him! You touch him! You eat him!”"

St John Chrysostom

. Gaze upon him, consider him, contemplate him, as you desire to imitate him . (St Clare of Assisi)

What does the poor man do at the rich man’s door, the sick man in the presence of his physician, the thirsty man at a limpid stream? What they do, I do before the Eucharistic God. I pray. I adore. I love.

Francis of Assisi

In the Eucharist, the Son of God comes to meet us and desires to become one with us; eucharistic adoration is simply the natural consequence of the eucharistic celebration, which is itself the Church’s supreme act of adoration.

Pope Benedict XVI

Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament has His hands full of graces, and He is ready to bestow them on anyone who asks for them.

St Peter of Alcantara

Eucharistic adoration is the greatest of actions. To adore is to share the life of Mary on earth when she adored the Word Incarnate in her virginal womb, when she adored Him in the Crib, on Calvary, in the divine Eucharist .

Peter Julian Eymard

“It is such an incomprehensible blessing to have Christ in bodily presence in one’s house, within one’s walls…To know that He is close by – to be able to visit Him, again and again, throughout the day." (Blessed John Henry Newman)

“A visit to the Blessed Sacrament declares at once the simple, hearty, practical belief
in the real presence of Christ, a plain conviction, a meeting with God face to face.”
– Cardinal Wiseman

Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament has His hands full of graces, and He is ready to bestow them on anyone who asks for them.

St Peter of Alcantara

Thanks for keeping this thread going. Rob. You’re a faithful apostle of making souls more aware of this great path to coming closer to Christ.

Jesus is with my family every night when we say our prayers… that has been the greatest experience of adoration for my family. ‘Wherever two or more gather in my name…’ MT 18-20

I have never been drawn to adoration at the chapel - outside of mass of course.

Just for giggles I thought I would check how many parishes in western Oregon have Adoration. Out of 124 parishes, 86 have Adoration, and of those 11 are Perpetual Adoration.

Given that Oregon is considered the most unchurched state in the Union, we need it.
That’s a lot…so much for unchurched eh?
