In the FSSP parish that I attend they have Eucharistic Adoration for 2 hours after Sunday mass. Why don’t Latin mass parishes have perpetual adoration or at least weekday Eucharistic adoration like I have seen in other parishes?

This post doesn’t mean that Latin mass parishes don’t ever do this…I just haven’t seen it done in my area. Would anyone care to comment as to why this is so or whether it is happening in their area… I am curious to know whether or not my experience in the norm.

God bless 🙂

The issue is generally the size of the parish and the fact that its membership generally comes from a large and sizable area, often from outside the diocese. Most people attend parishes that are made up of members from the immediate area, and in metropolitan areas; this can mean a fairly dense membership base from which to cover the manpower needed for adoration. Most FSSP apostolates, however successful, simply have too few people coming from too large an area to keep perpetual adoration.
