i have only been Catholic for 3 1/2 years and Eucharistic Adoration is one of my favorite
aspects of Catholicism. it brings me such peace to be able to sit for an hour or more with Jesus. i usually spend time praying first and maybe some time in silence just feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit. i love to take my Magnificat with me or other spiritual reading.
thankfully, we have perpetual adoration at my parish and i try to go at least once a week if not more. believe me, spending as much time as you can at Eucharistic Adoration will bring profound change to your life and increase your faith! 🙂

I think you owe it to yourself to buy a Rosary. ANY Catholic bookshop will have them, even if it’s nothing more than a closet in the back of a parish church open for 30 minutes after Mass.

I’ve seen cheap plastic ones that come in little plastic eggs, like for gumball machines (except none of them have gumballs anymore) for a buck or less. Get one of those. (You want to leave the pretty crystal one for someone to buy you as a gift 😉 )

You can even gain an Indulgence for praying the Rosary before the Eucharist! catholic.org/clife/prayers/indulgw.php Look up #48. There are a few easy prerequisites up near the top - don’t forget those. 😃

Does anyone know when this tradition of Eucharist Adoration started?

My wife is part of a commitee that produces the Eucaristic Adoration program. It´s a series of readings and songs and prayers. It´s a good program for those that wish to participate in it. I don´t. I prefer silence, meditation while praying the Holy Rosary. I don´t go, but would love to go provided I could get some silence. Am I wrong? Should I go and participate in the program? I have gone and tried to do my own thing, however the songs, prayers etc is an obstacle to my private meditation. God bless:thumbsup:👍👍

I attended the Eucharsitic Adoration this morning after Confession and Saturday Mass. I prayed for a while and i liked it. There wasnt that many people though only like 10 or 12.
